A problem with my docker install in windows

(Fmanh2) #1

I am trying to start a graphite docker container under windows. so i run the following from teh docker tool;
$ docker run -d --name graphite -p 8080:80 -p 2003:2003 --restart=“always” -v /c/Users/Larry/data/graphite/storage/whisper/:/opt/graphite/storage/whisper s
itespeedio/graphite

And get;

Larry@JHWorkPC MINGW64 ~
$ docker run -d --name graphite -p 8080:80 -p 2003:2003 --restart=“always” -v /c/Users/Larry/data/graphite/storage/whisper/:/opt/graphite/storage/whisper s
itespeedio/graphite
invalid value “C:\Users\Larry\data\graphite\storage\whisper\;C:\Program Files\Git\opt\graphite\storage\whisper” for flag -v: bad mode specified: \Program Files\Git\opt\graphite\storage\whisper
See ‘C:\Program Files\Docker Toolbox\docker.exe run --help’.

WHich i interpret as a problem with the docker tool. I.e. -v should mount whats given on the righthand side of the ‘:’ to the position of the left hand side. However the probem is that it is intepreted to windows paths on both sides… Is this just a problem for me or is it a bug in the windows install? And is there a work around, or am I just stupid here?

any input is apreciated!
