# Crash dockerd while launching it with root

Hi I have installed docker CE stable built 18, on a OEL Linux 7.1 (OCI cloud based).

I started daemon dockerd, but it crashed, unable to launch containerd.

Any idea why it doesn’t work ?

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?
