Docker-cloud stack complains about bad format

(Peterlauri) #1

docker-cloud stack create -n tailor

Bad format of the stack file: docker-cloud.yml

However, pasting the content of the file into the Docker Cloud stack UI, it works. I doesn’t tell what is wrong with the file, only that there is a problem. I have validated the yaml structure, and it is correct. Using 2 spaces indentation as documented.

Is there any possibility to validate, or turn on verbose mode in when running docker-cloud stack create?

The docker-cloud CLI implements the docker-compose method of evaluating environment variables within compose files (you will notice you cannot run that compose file with docker-compose either). You will have to escape $ with $$ if you use the CLI for creating the compose stack from there.
