Docker container runs, but cannot browse on localhost - "This site can’t be reached"

Good morning,

I am trying to run a docker instance on my local machine, but browsing to the IP:PORT does not seem to work:

// Tried 127.0.0.1 and the machine’s local IP address…

Some support info:

>docker ps

94aebbd07879 mongo:latest “mongod --bind_ip_all” 10 minutes ago Up 2 minutes 0.0.0.0:27017->27017/tcp mongo-local

Thank you in advance… (tried to upload the logs, but apparently I am not allowed as a new user)

Some more :slight_smile:
D:\Code\MongoDB1\MongoDB1>netstat -an | grep 27017
STDIN
TCP 127.0.0.1:8585 127.0.0.1:27017 TIME_WAIT
TCP 127.0.0.1:64915 127.0.0.1:27017 TIME_WAIT

Works in the “simple browser”

Also stopped FW/AV… dunno,… strange…

Tried this : D:\Code\MongoDB1\MongoDB1>dotnet restore

Restore complete (0.0s)

Build succeeded in 0.1s

D:\Code\MongoDB1\MongoDB1>dotnet run --urls http://localhost:5000
Using launch settings from D:\Code\MongoDB1\MongoDB1\Properties\launchSettings.json…
Pinged your deployment. You successfully connected to MongoDB! v2.0

I am unclear if your issue is resolved.

Though, on Windows Docker Desktop will use a utility VM to run Linux containers. You should be able to connect to published ports using localhost:<published host port> or 127.0.0.1:<published host port>. Your screenshot shows a domain name. Does this domain resolve to localhost or the hosts public domain name?

Or are you running Windows Containers (with or without Docker Desktop)?
