Docker Enterprise pricing clarification required

Hi all,

I’m trying to figure out whether we can use Docker Enterprise for free or not on our Windows Server 2019 machines.

The official webpage for Docker Enterprise edition says that “Docker Enterprise (Windows Server) is available at no additional cost to all Windows Server 2019 and 2016 customers”.

Yet, that page also has a “Start 1 Month Trial” button, which kind of have me thinking that the “no additional cost” wording is actually just a trial??

This page says that there’s three pricing tier, from basic at 1,500$ per node to advanced at 3,500$ per node.

Our question is: can we install and use Docker Enterprise, or any Docker engine, on a Windows Server 2019 for free, forever* (until a licensing change or something)?

Many thanks,
- A confused user

Hi, were trying to figure out the answer to this as well, did you ever get anywhere ?

Nope. They reached out once, but then radio silence when they found out we had only two nodes :frowning:

We ended up following this guide: https://blog.sixeyed.com/getting-started-with-docker-on-windows-server-2019/
which says:

Windows Server licensing includes the licence cost for Docker Enterprise, so you can run the enterprise edition with production support for containers from Microsoft and Docker.
