I have question regarding industry collaborative effort OCI (Open Container Initiative), and appreciate if someone could shed light on the matter for me.
I understand industry leaders including Docker, Intel and… came together and founded OCI and made it free, opensource and available to everyone.
I have been working on a new technology idea based on docker\containers for a long time; and recently I noticed Intel has filed a patent on the same concept I am working on.
I am wondering what does this mean for my project? Does it mean I am better off stop what I am doing and leave my project abandoned ? Or Intel and other OCI members are trying to protect the community and openness of OCI by filing these patents.
