Docker Swarm intranet solution

Hey everybody,

i have 4 company locations with a very bad location to location vpn connection. Round about 10 Mbits.
So i think about a swarm controller in our main location an one swarm host in every external location to reduce the permanent traffic betwenn the locations.
I think right or this solution does not make sense?

Why would you even want to run Swarm in such a scenario? Swarm needs a low latency network connection.

Your best bet is to have a standalone docker-engine in each location.
