Hi, I 'am new in Docker.
I have install Docker Toolbox in Windows 10 Home, and I download image of wordpress.

* * *

The content of docker-compose-yml is this:

version: ‘3’

services:
db:
image: mysql:5.7
volumes:
- db\_data:/var/lib/mysql
restart: always
environment:
MYSQL\_ROOT\_PASSWORD: somewordpress
MYSQL\_DATABASE: wordpress
MYSQL\_USER: wordpress
MYSQL\_PASSWORD: wordpress

## wordpress: depends\_on: - db image: wordpress:latest ports: - "8000:80" restart: always environment: WORDPRESS\_DB\_HOST: db:3306 WORDPRESS\_DB\_USER: wordpress WORDPRESS\_DB\_PASSWORD: wordpress volumes: db\_data:

* * *

The result of ‘docker ps’ is this:

CONTAINER ID:e72dd3563755
IMAGE: wordpress:latest
COMMAND: "docker-entrypoint…"
CREATED: 3 minutes ago
STATUS: Up 3 minutes
PORTS: 80/tcp
NAMES: festive\_bell

## CONTAINER ID:d7dca4df9cf7 IMAGE: mysql:5.7 COMMAND: "docker-entrypoint…" CREATED: 17 hours ago STATUS: Up 6 minutes PORTS: 3306/tcp NAMES: dockerwordpress\_db\_1

But localhost:80 don’t run. Why?

Thanks

you did expose port 80 in the container to port 8000 on your host. So [http://localhost:8000](http://localhost:8000) could/should work. 🙂
