Dockerd won't respond if using bridged network

I’ve been banging my head on this one for a while…

Basic setup: Debian 10, Proxmox VE 6.0, dockerd 19.03.2

If I’m running with a simple network setup (/etc/network/interfaces):

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto enp3s0f1
iface enp3s0f1 inet static
        address 192.168.0.99
        netmask 255.255.255.0
        gateway 192.168.0.1

docker works just fine.

Running with a bridge in there (which I need for KVM):

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto enp3s0f1
iface enp3s0f1 inet manual

auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet static
    address 192.168.0.99
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    network 192.168.0.0
    broadcast 192.168.0.255
    gateway 192.168.0.1
    bridge_ports enp3s0f1
    bridge_stp off
    bridge_fd 0
    bridge_maxwait 0
    dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8

even a simple “docker info” just hangs. I’ve tried running dockerd directly (with -D) but that output doesn’t give any indication either.

What else could I try?
