FATA[0010] unable to pass CNI pod CIDR range check : cni pod cidr 192.168.0.0/16 overlaps with ip 192.168.40.149 of node

Hi all,

as the title says, UCP installation and start ends with an error message

FATA[0010] unable to pass CNI pod CIDR range check : cni pod cidr 192.168.0.0/16 overlaps with ip 192.168.40.149 of node

So, my machines inside the cluster have IPs inside the 192.168.40.* subnet and I cannot change them, because they are provided by our NP.

Therefore, I need a way to change the CNI pod CIDR range. How to do this?

What is this CNI pod CIDR thing good for anyway?

Best wishes,
Martin

Hello,

I’ve the same problem and fix it with the --pod-cidr option.

See “Avoid IP range conflicts” :

I used the flag still having the same problem.

“sudo docker container run --rm -it --name ucp -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock docker/ucp:3.0.2 install --interactive --pod-cidr 192.168.0.0/16”

I know this response is very very late. Just for some one who has the same confusion.

The issue here is the IP block over lap. To resolve this you have to give a different IP block. Thats the reason to have this parameter --prod-cidr
