How can i clone docker image to another system?

(Herbzhang) #1

Hi guys,

I have two win10 computers A and B, but only A has internet access. I installed docker on both systems, then following MS guide to pull a docker image from nanoserver on A and run it, all work fine.

Then I want to clone the docker environment to system B. I copied following folders from A and B

C:\ProgramData\Docker\windowsfilter

C:\ProgramData\Docker\image\windowsfilter

then restarted B, “docker images” showed the image (which is cool) but “docker run” failed with following error:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>docker run -it --isolation=hyperv microsoft/nanoserver cmd
docker: Error response from daemon: container 4b0033f0d540e8a89b26a2ebe2a234944bb893e6a2691791e59c79128a463a28 encountered an error during Start: failure in a Windows system call: This operation returned because the timeout period expired. (0x5b4).
ERRO[0256] error waiting for container: context canceled

Is there anyway to get it work or this cloning thing is absolute impossible?

Regards

Herb
