HTTPS SSL service hostname issue

dockercloud

(Larsenfed) #1

Hi all,

I have setup service with Docker-cloud which gave me an end point: xxx.svc.dockerapp.io

then I created a subdomain, so that service.mycompany.com resovles to xxx.svc.dockerapp.io

I installed all certificates and chain certificates so that https://service.mycompany.com is trusted with a full chain.

Now my problem is that when using a Java8 client fails with:

hostname in certificate didn’t match: <xxx.svc.dockerapp.io> != <*.mycompany.com>

How do I tell Docker Cloud, that my service has an external hostname.

I tried setting all FQDN env vars with no success.

Does anybody knows where do I need to setup the hostname?

Thanks a lot in advance for you help.

SOLVED.

I had to add this on compose yml of the service

domainname: xxx.mycompany.com
