Installing UCP image dockerorca/ucp-controller:latest not found

(Ralph Kincade) #1

I am attempting to install the docker universal control plane on ubuntu 14.04

I have confirmed my docker login and I am able to login to the docker hub from the command line

however when I run the commands to install docker ucp I get this

bks@ucp1:~$ sudo ./ucpinstaller
INFO[0000] Verifying your system is compatible with UCP

FATA[0028] Error: image dockerorca/dsinfo:latest not found

another clue is that I cannot do a docker search for any container that it is looking for

for example I cannot find this

bk@ucp1:~$ vi ucpinstaller
bs@ucp1:~$ ./ucpinstaller

I used a coworkers login to get the stuff I need, I guess you need to sign up somehow for the UCP:smiley:

@brikeyes yes you need access to the dockerorca org right now for the closed beta. Just sent you a private message to get access for this.

(Ralph Kincade) #4

, my fault I had the docker groups rights messed up on the first node the
best I can figure

did not do the command “sudo usermod -aG docker usename” !!!

(Konstantin) #5

I have the same problem, could you give me an access?

(Ralph Kincade) #6

make sure you have the correct rights , if you have the rights that come in
a standard ubuntu install and add the docker group you should be ok

I’am trying install UCP on Mac OS. Where I can find information about docker group requirement?

docker run --rm -it -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock --name ucp dockerorca/ucp install -i

I am not sure about directly on the mac , but I know att the end of an ubuntu docker install it mentions the correct group settingd

Hi graybit, the problem was access to the “dockerorca” private group in Hub. However with the new beta 0.7 released today, this problem should be solved. You can find more info on the release here , but the main thing is to replace “dockerorca/ucp” with “docker/ucp” when doing installations, joins, upgrading, etc.

thank you, Vivek.
It helps!
