"Internal server error" building on docker cloud

(Derekpowell) #1

I posted in an old thread about this issue but thought I might get more help if I just make a new one.

I’m trying to build my container “derekpowell/rstudio-bayesreg” from a github repository. I’ve tried several times, each time it runs about an hour and then I get an error message like the following:

ERROR: Build failed with internal server error
ERROR: Build failed with internal server error
ERROR: Build in 'master:/rstudio-bayesreg' (e6dccda5) failed in 1:01:10
ERROR: Build failed with internal server error

The image builds locally without issue. In addition, another image, “derekpowell/rstudio-init” in that same github repository builds without issue on docker cloud. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Hello,

Have you tried to trigger the build from the docker cloud user interface?
It seems that your build is taking up a lot of time. Does this hold also on your local machine?

Yes I’ve tried triggering it from the interface (though I’ll try again now), and yes it does take a pretty long time on my machine. I haven’t timed it, but on the order of an hour or so.

Thanks

I tried again and this time it failed after building for 3 hours (174 minutes). It has never taken that long to build on my machine.

Same error code:

ERROR: Build failed with internal server error
ERROR: Build failed with internal server error
ERROR: Build in 'master:/rstudio-bayesreg' (c9ef75a0) failed in 2:54:39
ERROR: Build failed with internal server error
