Mounting Drive other than C:

I am having issues mounting my D:\Data drive in docker. When I run “docker run --rm -v d:\data:/data alpine ls /data”, I get the following error:

“Unable to find image ‘alpine:latest’ locally
C:\Program Files\Docker\Docker\Resources\bin\docker.exe: Error response from daemon: Get net/http: request cancelled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeding while awaiting headers).”

I’ve selected to share D: in docker settings, provided my credentials, and I still cannot mount the drive. Any ideas would be welcome.

Seems the first problem is you can’t download the Alpine image.

If the above works, check if your av/firewall blocks the Docker network.
