Multiple node for UCP free trial

(Pokerone) #1

Hello guys,
I’m trying to evaluate Docker UCP using it for an internal project.
Unfortunately I am encountering various difficulties since installation.

My doubts are:

  1. Tests are carried out with the tria gratisl license.
When I try to add a node, I get this error:
"FATA [0007] Failed to add host to UCP: the system is unlicensed"
The trial license allows only “one-node-cluster”?

  2. If is a licensing problem, how can I get a license for a 5-node cluster?

  3. Is there a way to manage via UCP, an existing swarm cluster?

thank you!
Andrea.

Hi pokerone,

Did you sign up for a trial at https://hub.docker.com/enterprise/trial/? You can download the license there, and then upload the license either when you first log into UCP, or at anytime thereafter from the Settings tab.

A trial license allows multiple nodes, however you have to upload it to UCP first. It is only when you do not upload any license that you can only use one node.
