Push Failure, DTR in AWS, Retry fails

(Jonathan L Tronson) #1

I installed DTR in AWS using the supplied CloudFormation Template. The script succeeded in installing everything.

I successfully log into the DTR UI and create a test repo.

From my client, I log into the registry using

$ docker login my.dtr.url

When I attempt to push my first image, it make a few attempts and then quits:

Hey, I have the same issue.
I tested inside the ucp-controller, my mac (macOS El Capitan) and on a linux (ubuntu 14.04) box with just Docker Installed.

I got the same message as you.

Don’t know if you got some progress with that, thanks!

It turned out that since the cloud formation template creates a 3-node cluster, the storage needs to be set to S3. The template creates the S3 Bucket but does not point to that in the storage section. So all I had to do was go into the UI and enter in the name of the S3 bucket under the storage tab and then bounce the 3 DTR nodes.

I just did what you said but i got the same errors…

Retrieving in 4 seconds… and so on!

:confused:

I’m having the same issue. I built a DTR using AWS and the AMI provided in the marketplace. I’ve removed authentication from the DTR and I’ve added S3 settings as described by @jtronson . However, when I try to push the images from my local computer, it keeps retrying and finally fails with “net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)”

I followed this video to set up DTR in AWS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7yQPbfvYvs . However, I had to make a few changes since the video is old and DTR has been updated.
