RAM disc access via volume incredibly slow?

On Windows 10, I created an 8GB RAM disk using LmDisk, and mapped it to drive R:.

In Docker, I granted access to the host RAM disk using the volume command “–volume”:

docker create --volume /r/:/tmp/tmpfs --name instance.TestingConsoleApp my-app

However, the docker container had incredibly slow access times to the RAM disk (around 100MByte/sec read - it should be more than 4GByte/sec read!).

Wondering if there are any workarounds for this?
