Start UCP server after installation

(Edubey) #1

Hi All,

I am new to Docker.
I installed UCP using this docs
it worked fine.

After I restart the VM in which UCP was installed, do i need to reinstall UCP again ? If not
How can I start UCP server without installing it again

I have attached the result of docker ps on the node in which i installed UCP yesterday.

Hi edubey,

After a VM restart you basically want to make sure that all of the ucp containers “ucp-something” are still running or have been restarted. From your docker ps It looks like your containers are all up and running.

Are you able to log into the web console for UCP after restarting the VM? If not, what errors do you get?

Exactly the same situation. UCP no working after docker machine restart.

It looks like the problem is that when Docker Machine restarts a VirtualBox VM it changes the IP address, and UCP can no longer see the host. Reposting here in case the answer helps:

Looks like there is an open issue in Docker Machine to specify a static IP for VirtualBox driver:

In the meantime, see if the workarounds either in the github issue above or this stackoverflow post can help:
