Suddenly getting a 404 from dockerhub API, when trying to access repository images

Hey there all you fine Docker people, I hope this is the right place and that you can help me.

We usually send a GET with a Bearer Token as Authoriziation to this url:

https://hub.docker.com/v2/namespaces/{namespace}/repositories/{repositoryName}/images?ordering=-last_activity&currently_tagged=true

Yesterday this still worked fine but today we are getting: “message”: “404: Page Not Found” as response.

However, if we do the same GET to:

https://hub.docker.com/v2/namespaces/{namespace}/repositories/{repositoryName}/

It still works fine.

We have an active Docker Team subscription and didn’t change a thing in our docker hub or pipeline setup.

Any idea why we suddenly get this error?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t know what happened, but now that endpoint is missing from the API reference.

In the following page

You can find the deprecated API endpoints and the new endpoints for v2. If you click on the “images” endpoint, it just opens the API reference at the top of the page.

If you click “tags” for example, it will scroll down to the tags endpoint.

The API reference also shows it is a beta so I don’t know if the images endpoint was removed or someone just accidentally removed it in a config file and regenerated the API reference too without the endpoint in it.

You could try to report it here:

Thank you very much for your help, that shed some light onto the issue!

I’ve posted a new Github issue and hope for the best
