UCP Launching issue on Kernel3.10 ( RHEL 7.0)

(Eqbala) #1

I hit against the following error

INFO[0017] All required images are already available
ERRO[0018] Failed to determine host address
FATA[0018] 500 Internal Server Error: Cannot start container 467745dfd7e242245e7de57c46cc9e4d2344d50043227150eea370fe34ddb941: [8] System error: write /sys/fs/cgroup/memory/system.slice/docker-467745dfd7e242245e7de57c46cc9e4d2344d50043227150eea370fe34ddb941.scope/memory.swappiness: invalid argument

Does UCP supported on 3.10 ?

Is this there a workaround or solution around this issue.

Hi Bala, just a note that UCP technically requires Linux kernel 3.16.0 or higher as noted in the installation docs.

However, you can try using the --old-kernel flag during install on a 3.10 kernel. It should work although newer features like cross-host networking may not function correctly
