Unable to create a docker hub repository (Internal server error)

There seems to be a current issue.

related issue.

I try to add a collabolator on my public repo.
{“message”:“internal error”,“errinfo”:{}}
500 sever error

I understand that the status page shows they are aware of the current issue, but they haven’t updated the status page in over 12 hours…

I’m able to push new images with tags, but they don’t show up on the site. I’m also unable to pull those tags in my deployment scripts so our deployment is simply broken atm.

Most service providers at this maturity & scale are pretty good at updating their customers on the incident handling. Give us updates on what you are doing and when you expect to get the services up and running agin.

same issue here! i was so confused bcs i´m able to tag and push images but they don´t appear on the site and no problem was showing up, we really need an update

update: according to the last email, Docker Hub should work now. If you still see issues, you can report it on GitHub. Link is below.

The status page will update when there is anything to report. In my exprience, Docker even shares when they make a mistake if that causes an issue. This was my last email I got at17:25 UTC (I subscribed to the status notifications on the status page).

Current Status: Partial Service Disruption
Started: July 8, 2025 04:44 PDT
Resolved:

Affected Infrastructure:
Components: Docker Hub Web Services
Locations: Docker Web Services

Update: Our engineers have implemented fixes and are monitoring progress towards resolution.
The current state is unchanged: all Hub items are currently in a read-only state. The following actions will not work:

  • Signup form and Signup with Social Auth.
  • SSO when it needs to provision a new user .
  • SCIM creating new users.
  • Account deactivation.
  • Create/delete repositories
  • Tags information might not be displayed correctly in the Docker Hub UI.
  • Receive webhooks on registry pushes

In the meantime, registry pulls will continue to work, along with pushes to existing repositories.

Docker also has a public github repo to report Hub issues

Surprisingly, I don’t see this issue reported there. That is the repo where you can directly talk to the Docker staff in case you want them something. to know  The forum is mainly visited by community members so the Docker staff will not see it quickly.

While I was writing this post, I got a new email:

Current Status: Operational
Started: July 8, 2025 04:44 PDT
Resolved:

Affected Infrastructure:
Components: Docker Hub Web Services
Locations: Docker Web Services

Update: The issue has been mitigated, and functionality has been restored. We are currently processing a backlog of events, so users may experience delays in receiving webhook event notifications.

So it should work now. If you notice any issue, please report it on GitHub.
