Unable to push docker image to my personal repository

My username is pjs7785, and I have created a repo called paul_smith_repo I have also created a “Personal Access Token” with read, write, and delete permissions. I have done a successful docker login, and tagged my image as pjs7785/paul_smith_repo/vue-test:latest. But when I try to push the image, I get the error:

push access denied, repository does not exist or may require authorization: server message: insufficient_scope: authorization failed

Here is a screenshot of my output:

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Never mind, I have figured it out. Looks like I don’t need to include the repo name in the image tag. So after I tagged the image as pjs7785/vue-test, I was able to push it.

Did you update your codex and are you running the right format

The format is <user or group>/<repository>:<tag>, not <user or group>/<repository>/<whatever this is supposed to be>:<tag>
