Docker for Mac is blocking connections to Exchange and Skype for Business

Expected behavior

Connections to Exchange and Lync/Skype for Business would work without interference.

Actual behavior

Occasionally, Docker for Mac appears to be blocking those connections. I have to close Docker for Mac to restore the connection.

This problem was introduced several betas ago. The problem doesn’t appear to be related to running containers. Right now my docker ps list is empty and I’m seeing the problem.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. I’ve noticed that occasionally my connections to Lync (Skype for Business) and Exchange go offline.
  2. Closing Docker for Mac allow the connections to work again.
  3. I can usually restart Docker for Mac without impacting the connection.

Unfortunately, the docker app I am trying to run doesn’t let the localhost connect to it’s API. And so, I have to find a way to connect to it’s API through a specific IP address.

I will checkout the link you provided and see if there are any workarounds.
