Hi,
I was trying to run docker on deepnote.com in rootless mode but could not succeed due to guid mapping error.
Has anyone been able to successfully run docker daemon on deepnote.com
Its free and you can try it out and provide details here if you find a solution for it.

We don’t know that site. Please, share more details about your issue. How would deepnote run containers, especially rootless? I have no idea.

Hi,
Please have a look at the following youtube video about deepnote.
It is free to sign up.
The docker daemon does not start with root access or non-root access.

The following error is thrown in both root and non-root access.

docker: Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?.
See ‘docker run --help’.

You mention your vps provider two times now, which makes me believe you think it’s a general problem with the vps provider. If so, wouldn’t it be better to ask the support of the vps provider?

You haven’t shared any information about the virtualization platform or os your vps vm uses, nor how you actually installed docker.
