Docker run hello-world results in an i/o timeout

I am in the same position with this topic (High Sierra and the latest Docker - 18.03.1-ce)… came across this entry (Docker pull results in getsockopt: connection refused) and tried from a different network ad it went flawlessly. Possible firewall or proxy blocking access on original network
