I’m not sure I completely understand your question and the reference to the official product support. It is true, it is not an official product support as that is thorugh Docker Support and GitHub repositories, but you can ask the community members here. Sometimes even staff members read the posts but not guaranteed.
Regarding the fstab file, that should be handled by something but normally there is nothing in a container that could do it, so it is just a file that the containerized process sees as if it was in the filesystem root.
Can you describe the issue in more details, maybe step by step sharing what you are trying to do. The best if you share a docker command or compose file, even if it was made only to demonstrate the issue with an error message.
By the way there is no Docker 4.45. That is the Docker Desktop version whcih runs a virtual machine, so if you ant to mount a file to the virtual machine and not a container, that is not supported. You can bind mount folders from your machine into containers if the source path is enabled in the Docker Desktop settings, but since WSL2 can access everything, it is relevant only when using the HyperV backend or on other operating systems.
