Too many rules for iptables

Hi,

I’ve been using docker for quite a while and I really enjoy it. It makes handling my own server a breeze.
I have a question regarding iptables rules handling by docker.
Starting a docker-ce engine 18.09.5 on my dev machine creates an awful lot of iptables rules that seems the same to me.
My limited knowledge of iptables was that the more rules you put, the slower the packet filtering will get. And I’m getting some weird network issues lately (might be totally unrelated, but it made me investigate this trail).

So, I have 20 stopped containers but still a lot of iptables rules that look exactly the same, is it normal/efficient?
