Using Docker Registry HTTP API V2 on registry.hub.docker.com?

Hi,

While browsing through the docs and wanting to trying out Docker Registry HTTP API V2 on registry.hub.docker.com
I sent a

GET /v2/

to https://registry.hub.docker.com/, only to get a 404 back.

Has Docker Hub not included support for V2 yet or am I doing something wrong?
