Why should I link github account to dockerhub account? Is there political or licensing reasons?

I would just speculate that it is for:

  • The nice repo chooser (it lists you and your orgs with their repos)
  • So you can’t build somebody else’s repo
  • So it is combatiable with GitHub private repos. See the docs.

That is just my guess :smile:
