Block domainname with IPtables on dockerhost

Would it be possible to block a domainname for incoming requests on a docker host in some way ?

Something like:

 iptables -A INPUT -i eth0 -s sub.domain.tld -j DROP

Maybe on one of the networks where the container lives would be possible too.
