can you run a commit on a running container ??thanks !!!

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is that you may not want to, depending on what your container is doing. Some processes may have open or temporary files that you may not want to commit. You would just have to be mindful of this when do opt to do a commit.

Hmmm… I faced errors while commiting a running container. So, I have stopped the container and committed.

I’d be interested to know what those errors were. Can you paste them here? Debug mode logs for both the daemon and the client might be handy as well.
