Change storage of Windows Container

Hi Docker Community!

I’m facing the challenge to change the storage location for images base on windows container (not linux based images).

I would like to store it not on my C-drive but solutions like

  • data-root via advanced settings
  • Changing via WSL Backend

didn’t had any success.

Does anyone know a solution to store image (for windows container) on another drive?

I believe there’s an option to change the default location on which Docker stores images, but you can’t select the type of images. That would be a nice feature to have, though, given that Windows images are larger than Linux ones.
