Dedicated server and Docker

Hello guys !

I’m here to ask you a question :
Next month, I will buy a dedicated server and I would like to know if it’s useful to put Docker with some containers ?

Example :

  • One container with web services (web server, database, ftp,…)
  • Another container with NodeJS
  • Another one with a voice server
  • …

And after, put a shared folder to directly save on the server.

The + : keep a fresh installation of Debian with only Docker in order to keep a “modulable” server.
The - : Accessing to server will be more slow because of shared folders
