We have noticed from this URL: https://docs.docker.com/docker-hub/download-rate-limit/
That docker has decided to do something not too clear: “Docker will gradually introduce these rate limits, with full effects starting from November 1st, 2020.”
We manage Kubernetes clusters, and the workloads are pulling images from Dockerhub anonymously from behing a single NAT IP. We started experiencing random errors pulling images yesterday.
Our goal was to move away from using anonymous pulls from DockerHub, but… this is SOONER than expected. And it’s not clear, because “gradually” does not mean much.
The error we get is something like this (ips and image name scrambled):
Failed to pull image “some-image”: rpc error: code = Unknown desc = error pulling image configuration: read tcp 0.0.0.0:45978->0.0.0.0:443: read: connection reset by peer
Anyone else seeing this?
