DockerDesktopVM Not Running While Running Windows Containers

I’ve got Docker Desktop and I’m running on windows. I’ve switched to windows containers but when I open Hyper-V it shows the DockerDesktopVM is off while I’m running windows containers. How can this be?
Also, I’m using “hyperv” isolation so the containers are not running as processes.

An application designed to run in a Docker container on Windows can’t run on Linux, and vice versa. Virtual machines are not subject to this limitation. In highly heterogeneous environments composed of both both Windows and Linux servers, this makes Docker less attractive. Run applications with graphical interfaces.

@lewish95, thanks for your response! But you didn’t answer my question. Do you know where windows containers that are in hyper-v mode run? I would think Hyper-V but the screenshot above says otherwise.
