This would provide me with the ability to review containers I am interested in, and procure updated information on them, and ADDITIONALLY, the container authors can also get notification of interested parties in their containers;
For instance I used to operate a developer infrastructure, so I have a resilient interest in containers that enhance a developer environments, as well as infrastructure in general, BUT I am not inclined to procure every container for these use-cases, HOWEVER I do like to stay informed and abreast of solutions designed for these markets, such that I can review solutions, that enhance the resilience or automation capabilities within software design.
As such I would love the ability to follow containers, such that I can download from this list and review a product, and then remove the local containers, but retain reference, and easy ability to reprocure it in the future.
This feels like a win-win and an easy add, with immediate payouts enhancing developers and the docker community.
BRIEF:
Create an independent favourites list for containers which users can utilize to keep abreast on containers they have past or future interest in, and to make it just a bit easier to procure said containers quickly;
Agility wins.
Are you talking about something like an RSS feed, or email notifications that you get when someone changes something in the description of an image on Docker Hub, or you just want to know when a new image is uploaded to Docker Hub? Or maybe you would like it to be generally supported in any registry?
if you want to recommend a new feature, you can do it in the Roadmap on GitHub
You can only have a dicussion about the feature with the community and share ideas or find out if anyone knows if it is already an existing feature.
I don’t know how much more I can clarify than what is already provided;

Great! This is a community forum, users supporting users. So you would need to create a feature request on the roadmap (see above). Make sure to use context “Docker Hub” and correct wording → “favourites list for images”
