I installed Docker for Mac 1.11.1-beta13.1 in May 2016. I quit experimenting with it a few weeks later but omitted to uninstall it. It has recently started nagging me for an invitation token whenever I reboot the machine; if I enter my invitation code (I still have the email), it rejects it.
I have the impression ha simply deleting Docker.app from Applications will not be a good plan.
Can anyone here suggest the best way to uninstall? All the links I have found by Googling are dead.

My current operating system is macOS High Sierra (10.13.3); my machine is a late 2011 MacBook Pro with 8GB of memory and 291GB of free space on the 500GB system disk.
