I want to use Kubernetes v1.16+. Docker Desktop For Mac 2.2.03 uses Kubernetes v1.15.5. Is there a way for me to upgrade Kubernetes?

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to upgrade Kubernetes for Docker Desktop For Mac.

I’m using the latest version of Docker Desktop, which is v2.2.03

It’s using Kubernetes v1.15.5. I would like to upgrade Kubernetes that docker desktop is using to be at least v1.16. Is this possible to do?

Hi, we have the same question. We are concidering to migratie from minikube to Docker for Windows. One of the important requirements for us is to keep local environments close to staging and production (in terms of configuration). Our production clusters are currently using 1.16 and are upgraded on regular basis.
