macOS Sierra - latest edge build docker won't start

I am unable to use the diagnostics because Docker won’t start.
I used to have a working version then suddenly one day, it wouldn’t start. I’ve tried stable, edge, tried uninstall from the command line, reboot, …
It’s not getting any CPU time

I don’t know what to do to get this to work again - suggestions?

console shows nothing recent for Docker or docker

I’ve tried previously deleting .docker things in /Library etc. Sometimes, I can get “whaly” glad to see you then nothing.

Suggestions?
