Namespace for my company of one -- do i need to pay for pro or team account?

I am a team of one. Just a small ISV.

I want to build custom image under my company namespace. So does this mean i need to pay for pro or team account?

If you want to use an organization as a “custom namespace” you need at least Team Subscriiption. With Pro subscription you would have the paid features in your persional account’s namespace but not in the organization.You would be able to use auto build only in your account’s namespace
