I have been scouring the official Roadmaps for any mention of Stacks in the engine or their timeline for implementation.
I’ve been using the experimental engine for a while now to get access to the stack command, and while it works it works and feels like an early prototype at best. There is currently no API client support, nor API documentation.
Stacks are clearly an essential next step for swarm mode. Since day one of using swarm I’ve needed stacks to replicate at scale what I’ve come to expect from a single docker host. What and where is the plan? Any info would be helpful. I’m holding in limbo right now trying to decide if stacks will ship fast enough for me to make use of them or if I’m back to building a kubernetes cluster.
