I’m trying to install containerd from the docker rpm repo. What’s the differences between rhel and centos repo and which one should I use if I’m using rocky or alma?
The one that the documentation or the community of Rocky Linux and Alma Linux recommends as those are not supported officially by Docker so it depends on the maintainers of the distribution.

Ask the maintainers of the other repos 
The official repo from Docker will contain the latest versions. Any other repository can be less up-to-date. I don’t know what else is different. As already said, the best people to answer that are the maintainers
