Hi, I’m new to docker. I have downloaded docker desktop 4.34.3(170107) in my MAC (apple M2) and started its tutorial from its learning center. I cloned its database and start to build my first image with command “docker build -t welcome-to-docker .”, which is from tutorial “How do I run a container”. I just failed with following message “ERROR [internal] load metadata for docker.io / library / node:18-alpine”. I also attached a screenshot in the post. I have tried several solutions from google,…

I’ve found the solution given by the author of this thread very suspicious and all the following comments also.
The solution might be legit and maybe I’m wrong, in this case close this thread.
(I haven’t found a way to manually report a thread without creating this post)

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to report it. I remember that post. I understand why it seems suspicious because of the domain names, but it was a special solution in China. We had multiple reports about Docker Hub not available from China due to some kind of firewall or wrong DNS resolution sometimes.
