Unable to create docker container

Dear users, I’m having a strange problem with docker in a CentOS 7 server. The administrator had to install it, because no one used it on that server before, and I’m getting the error:

“container_linux.go:247: starting container process caused “exec: “–name”: executable file not found in $PATH”
docker: Error response from daemon: oci runtime error: container_linux.go:247: starting container process caused “exec: “–name”: executable file not found in $PATH”.
ERRO[0000] error getting events from daemon: net/http: request canceled”

I really don’t know how to fix this, any suggestions?

How do you start the container? please provide the run command / compose file

The command is :
“docker run -v /home:/projects/tematicoNelore/workspace bgabriel/nmp2 --name nmp”

You need to have —name before the image, else it will think —name is a command to exectute (CMD) in container

you mentioned the name after the image change the order, and if you need anything please post it here again
