Updates on how to install Docker to other drive on Windows 11 Pro 24H2

I know this is probably a “dead-horse” question, but I am looking for a place to get the LATEST information on how to install both docker and ALL of its other pieces to a different drive. I have a 8TB M.2 drive (D:) that I want to place it on, not the 2TB boot drive (C:) so that ALL Docker’s data (images, containers, etc. including Qdrant, n8n, etc.) are on the other drive (D:).

Thanks!

Chuck

You can move data disk image to the new drive. That disk where your docker data is. The whole Docker data root and Including images and local volumes. You can find the setting under Resources » Advanced » Disk image location.

I don’t think you can move the rest of the files, but this is the image which will require more space and which an grow.
