Hello all,
I created a simple React Vite app:
npm create vite@latest
And my Docker has a fresh reinsallation and I ran docker system prune -a --volumes.
However, the Dockerfile won’t build.
FROM node:22-alpine
WORKDIR /app
COPY package.json .
RUN npm install --verbose
RUN npm i -g serve
COPY . .
RUN npm run build
EXPOSE 3000
CMD [ "serve", "-s", "dist" ]
With the default package.json:
{
"name": "frontend",
"private": true,
"version": "0.0.0",
"type": "module",
"scripts": {
"dev": "vite",
"build": "tsc -b && vite build",
"lint": "eslint .",
"preview": "vite preview"
},
"dependencies": {
"react": "^18.3.1",
"react-dom": "^18.3.1"
},
"devDependencies": {
"@eslint/js": "^9.13.0",
"@types/react": "^18.3.11",
"@types/react-dom": "^18.3.1",
"@vitejs/plugin-react": "^4.3.3",
"eslint": "^9.13.0",
"eslint-plugin-react-hooks": "^5.0.0",
"eslint-plugin-react-refresh": "^0.4.13",
"globals": "^15.11.0",
"typescript": "~5.6.2",
"typescript-eslint": "^8.10.0",
"vite": "^5.4.9"
}
}
docker build -t fe .
And it’s “stuck” at
Any help would be greatly appreciated of how to fix the issue. Thanks
