Docker desktop failed to start after windows update

Was working fine this morning. Did a windows update and rebooted, and now keep getting this error. WSL2 is up and running. Help!

Can you try if wsl --update fixes this issue?

yeah it is working now. thanks

I had a general problem with starting WSL2 distributions on a Win10 22H2 Enterprise host last week and other colleagues had it this week. Updating the WSL version fixed it for all of us.

Docker Desktop runs the docker engine in a WSL2 distribution, and as such is directly affected by WSL2 problem. I am glad it was “just” the problem originating in WSL2 and nothing else
