In an environment that has many docker CE engines, I’m considering adding some docker EE hosts. If running DTR on some of those EE hosts, is there anything wrong with pushing and pulling images from CE engines? Are there others using DTR from CE engines?
I should note: I’ve already tested this using a demo license for Docker EE, and it seems to work without problem. Curious if others are successfully doing this.
I would not expect this to matter. However, I have a Docker salesperson claiming that there is “special”, “more expensive” pricing to allow push/pull from non-DockerEE engines. This sounds false to me. Has anyone else run into this type of pricing/licensing?
