I have been unsuccessful getting Docker for Windows (the last 3 betas) at all. Docker for Mac — no problem. This is a laptop that has been upgraded from Win7 to Windows10 [ as indicated in debug output above]

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. I have tried the update…no success.
  2. I tried removing docker and removing HyperV…no success.
  3. Started over from scratch and let the Docker for Windows installation create/instantiate the HyperV role…still no success.
    4 Something about the “Switch” makes this unsuccessful even after trying some excellent suggestions from others on an earlier attempt.
  4. The result is that the swtch actually gets created in HyperV but the installation fails and the MobyVM is never created.

Hi,
I faced the same issue.
Disabling antivirus helped to create the virtual switch when running for the first time.

After that docker started to use the existing switch.

I faced the same problem.
After I restard my PC all go normal.

I tried both suggestions. Turned off Malwarebytes and it didn’t help at all. Even tried to “remove the DockerNAT” and have it get recreated…nothing helps.

Still unable to get it successfully installed.

The virtual switch already exists - why is it trying to create it again?

I 've uninstalled the beta version, deleted VM, .vhd disk and virtual switch and install it again. The problem remains…

On the MobyLinux.ps1 script line 190 it says:

  • $newNet = New-NetNat -Name $SwitchName -InternalIPInterfaceAddressPrefix “$global:NATSubnetAddress”

This is the line that produces the error:

  • On the online documentation (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn283361(v=wps.630).aspx) there is no reference on ‘InternalIPInterfaceAddressPrefix’ parameter, but documentation is targeting Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012 R2.
  • Checking New-NetNat commandlet on Windows 10, it supports parameter 'InternalIPInterfaceAddressPrefix '. Although, I have not managed to retrieve help for Windows 10 version of the commandlet. In the documentation I found ‘ExternalIPInterfaceAddressPrefix’ parameter is required. What happens on Windows 10?
